Back to school

Right now I’m studying the general teaching-stuff, like the läroplan and värdegrund. At the same time I’m writing my essay in Religion, trying to finish it as soon as possible. Hopefully I’ll add a course in Hindi as well soon, I really want those last 7.5 points.  The class I’m taking now feels really slow, but I guess that’s good for the essay. My goal is to complete it in a month, it shouldn’t be too hard. But I have an exam coming up as well…

So the plans for today is to read two books for the BUS-course and then write a couple of paragraphs on the essay, and typ up the last interviews. I really should try do to some laundry and clean up in here as well. No more luxury of having people doing that for you… It feels weird to be back by the way, especially since some things changed when I got back.

Welcome home!

It’s been a while. Sorry about that… I spent the last four months in a country much warmer than this and didn’t want to blog about everything I did. Now, when I’m back, I sort of miss the blog and was thinking that I should start writing again.

I was amazed when I came home that so many good friends welcomed me back, I’ve missed you and I really liked that you’ve missed me too. I started a new course this semester, and met some people I haven’t seen in a while. It’s nice to know that things doesn’t change too much when you’re away.

I know it’s been quiet

I know the blog has been quiet for a while. I’m a bit unsure on what to do with it actually. I don’t have a computer near me all the time in summer, so blogging is harder. I wanted to post something about a friends graduation, but I wanted to upload some pictures first and I didn’t have the right cables for my camera with me last weekend. I’ll get to that soon.

I’m having a couple of days off, my summer holiday is officially over, but I didn’t want to start studying immediately anyway.  I have to read two books and write 10-20 pages about them, plus handing in my notes to my professor. I dislike that part especially, since I tend not to make notes but to write the essay immediately. And if I do make notes, I make them in the margin. I can’t really hand in two books I’ve doodled in? I have to rewrite all my notes on computer or something.

I know this

I know that I can get a lot of work done if I just sit down and do it. I’m already halfway through the first assignment. I had the most wonderful morning, I think that inspired me to study (or the fact that I have to be done tomorrow might have something to do with it too ;)). Right now I’m taking a coffee break, with one of my huge Winnie the Pooh – cups in front of me. (Seriously, I need to learn how to spell coffee… I always miss an f or an e…)

Tomorrow, on Wednesday and on Thursday I have seminars. So I have 1300 words to write each day. I love the fact that I actually read the books ahead of time, so all I have to do is write. It feels good to be ambitious sometimes.

Back from the camping trip

I’ve spent almost the entire week on talking about India and getting to know the group. Now it’s time to move on and work on the exams for this course, a course I have to pass before I start with my C-paper. It’s just so hard to start studying – I’m tired and I need to do something else than studying so I won’t go entirely mad.

Waiting Rooms

waitingroomI had some more vaccination shots yesterday. Are there any more boring places than waiting rooms? The beige-white-light wood colour scheme seem to be universal. Why not add some colour? Especially when it’s ‘just’ vaccinations, people there are usually not sick, they’re going away to somewhere which means that they’re probably not dying. Look at the doll, with the face turned down into the sofa. What a morbid welcoming it was when I got there. Completely empty, toys abandoned. And beige. So very beige.

It’s nice with a holiday. I’m going away to a camping with the group that I’ll be travelling with in the fall. I guess the purpose is to get to know each other better, and I think it’ll be fun 🙂 . The only problem is that I lose some time that I really need for studying…

No more classes left before summer btw, only five seminars over the next two weeks. And the visa-application is in, we finished it yesterday – so not much to worry about for the trip either. So I guess I should stop blogging and study instead…

A big election is coming up. Another one people don’t care about. But I care, enough to go voting before 7th of June anyway since I won’t be in town by then. So I did some tests online, had one and Aftonbladet had one too. I thought I should do both since I didn’t really trust any of the newspapers to be neutral. And as you might have guessed, the results were different. The questions varied a bit and Aftonbladet’s test also took into consideration which questions I found most important. Basically, the tests told me nothing. But you can look at my results if you click on “read more”.
